Fall Semester Registration Blitz April 15 – 19
Las Vegas, N.M. – New Mexico Highlands University is holding a fall semester early registration blitz April 15 – 19 for current students.
“We are encouraging current students to meet with their advisers this week and be among the first to register for their fall semester classes,” said Thomasinia Ortiz-Gallegos, director of Academic Support. “Early registration helps students be prepared to hit the ground running for fall, knowing exactly where they’ll be focusing their studies.”
Ortiz-Gallegos recommends that current students check out their degree audit available through the university’s website at www.nmhu.edu. It is accessed through the “my nmhu” link on the front page, and then through self-service Banner.
“Using the degree audit tool helps students navigate their program of study and plan their academic future. Call your academic adviser for further guidance,” Ortiz-Gallegos said.
The fall semester class schedule is posted on the university’s website. Use the “class schedule” link on the front page.
Ortiz-Gallegos said that Highlands University students with more than 32 hours may register online using self-service banner. Those with fewer than 32 hours must have their adviser’s approval, and then register through the university’s Registrar’s Office.
The Registrar’s Office is open Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Felix Martinez Building, 800 University Ave. The phone number is 505-454-3438 and the website is www.nmhu.edu/Registrar/registration.aspx
Registration is also underway for summer session through June 2, with classes starting June 3. Fall semester registration continues through the summer, with classes starting Aug. 19.
