Cowboy Orientation at Highlands is a one-day program that will allow students to learn the ropes of college life. During Cowboy Orientation you will register for classes, meet the staff from our student services offices, and learn about campus life! This will also be a great opportunity for you to meet and socialize with other students, as well as make new friends!
The goal of Cowboy Orientation is to support all new Highlands students and their families as they make their exciting transition into college. This will be done by personally guiding, supporting, and enlightening students to everything the university has to offer.
Cowboy Orientation is mandatory for all incoming freshmen, and is strongly encouraged for all transfer students.
New Mexico Highlands University is the place to be! We are excited to have you on campus during New Student Orientation and want to provide only the best services to you! There is a one-time $30 non-refundable fee. This fee will convert to a credit on your student account once you have registered for you Fall courses. There are plenty of dates from which to select to participate with the event that will be the beginning of your college career!
