Spring 2012 ONLY: Undergraduate students who have not yet been admitted to the School of Education will be allowed to enroll in Field-based II (GNED 351) with the following non-negotiable requirements:

Students MUST complete the admission process (which includes receiving an acceptance letter from the School of Education) through Chalk & Wire by the end of the course; students who do not complete this process will receive an incomplete in the course.

Students MUST pass the NMTA content exam by the end of the course; students who do not complete this process will receive an incomplete in the course.

As of 10/25/10, undergraduate admission applications to the School of Education will only be accepted through Chalk & Wire. |
The following requirements MUST be met prior to admission to the School of Education.

Students must have passed the NMTA Basic Skills Test with a score of 240 or better.

Students must have completed at least 24 credit hours (inclusive of transfer hours) with an overall GPA of 2.5 or better.

Students must have received a final grade of C or better in GNED 201 & SPED 214 OR ECME 300.

Students must have submitted the required writing sample in GNED 201 OR ECME 300.

Students must have received a final grade of C or better in ENG 112 and MATH 140.

Students must have an A.A. degree or have declared a minor.

Students must have submitted the Disclosure Form.

Students must have submitted the Admissions to the School of Education Form.
