Phil and Betty (Caster) Roberts
Phil and Betty celebrated their 60th anniversary at the Plaza Hotel. They met at Highlands in '49-'50, fell in love and married. The anniversary party was a huge success, bringing together family and friends. When asked by their friends where honorariums could be sent, they chose the NMHU Foundation. Thank you, Phil and Betty!

John A. Nance (BA, NMHU 1957; MA, ENMU 1962; EDS, 1970) and wife, Mavis, live in Marion, Iowa. John retired from his position of twenty-five years as principal at Lea Elementary School, Lovington, in 1989. John and his wife, Mavis, are devoting their retirement years to a multitude of civic, service clubs, RV camping activities, and an assortment of mission services in UMCOR, NOMADS and LIONS.
Recently, John received a certificate and plaque from Iowa’s Governor Chet Culver, congratulating him on his 80th birthday. On August 11, 2010, John and Mavis celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

Scott Eldredge has been named the new chief operating officer of Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino in Riudoso and its subsidiary enterprises. Eldridge has worked with Santa Ana and Star Casino, Golden Gaming and Silverton Lodge an Casino Resort. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration, cum laude, from New Mexico Highlands University, class of 1991, as well a certification from the Casino Management Association.
