What is college life like? Will I fit in? What will my classes be like?

If you’re asking these questions, you’re not alone. And you probably have many more questions. Almost every student does before setting foot on campus. Some people are anxious, some people are scared to death. Just relax and remember, this is an exciting time full of great changes.

If you’re in high school, you can take several steps to prepare for college to make the most out of your experience.

  • Develop good study skills. The payoff down the road will be worth it.
  • Take college prep courses.
  • Join a club. It’s a good way to meet new friends with similar interests.
  • Start researching scholarships.
  • Visit our campus. From movies to sports events, there is always something going on at Highlands! Visiting campus before you start college will make Highlands seem less like an alien planet on your first day of classes.
