Welcome to your future.

Cowboy Orientation

Cowboy Orientation at NMHU is a one-day program that will allow students to learn the ropes of college life.  During Cowboy Orientation you will register for classes, will meet the staff from our student services offices, and learn about campus life!  This will also be a great opportunity for you to meet and socialize with other students, as well as make new friends!

The goal of Cowboy Orientation is to support all new NMHU students and their families as they make their exciting transition into college.  This will be done by personally guiding, supporting, and enlightening students to everything the University has to offer.

New students planning to attend in either summer or fall 2007 must attend an orientation session sometime between May and August 2007.

Students who plan to attend in spring 2008, must attend an orientation session in early January, 2008.  Cowboy Orientation is mandatory for all incoming freshmen, and is strongly encouraged for all transfer students.
