STUDENTS, WELCOME TO THE ONLINE ENVIRONMENTS FOR BLACKBOARD AND ELLUMINATE LIVE
If you are taking an ITV, Internet, or a traditionally enhanced class, you will receive a "Welcome Letter" with access information. The same day you register for the class, you will automatically be added to the class roster, in Blackboard. If you are new to Blackboard and/or Elluminate Live, we strongly encourage you to review the Student Resources. After viewing the resources, be sure to login early to check your browser configuration, computer configurations, become familiar with the Blackboard and/or Elluminate Live environments, to get the syllabus, and check for special requirements or see if there is an early assignment.
In order to get started with Blackboard, you will need:
- A computer with Internet access.
- A supported and properly configured browser. To view supported browsers and configurations go to http://www.webct.com/tuneup.
- Your NMHU username and password. If you don’t already have a username and/or password, you can obtain it here.
To login to Blackboard, navigate to the
www.nmhu.edu homepage:
- Click on Blackboard.
- Click on Login to Blackboard.
- Click on Login and enter your username and password.
Course materials should be available at least two weeks prior to the start of your class.
In order to get started with Elluminate Live, you will first need to login to Blackboard. Then click on the hyperlink titled "Elluminate Live." In addition, you will need:
- speakers and a microphone or headset with a built-in microphone.
- a supported and properly configured browser. To view supported browsers and configurations go to Browser Checker.
- to make computer configuration changes.
